Power of attorney

Required Documents

Any one of the following Bangladeshi documents:

  • A valid Bangladeshi passport
  • Expired MRP or Hand Written Passport
  • No Visa (NVR)
  • Bangladeshi NID Card
  • Bangladeshi Birth Certificate
  • Bangladeshi Educational Certificate
  • Any other official document that can be used to prove Bangladeshi nationality

Other Required Documents:

  • Two sets of unsigned Power of Attorney document completed as per the format (Schedule-Ka, Form-3) of Bangladesh Government.

  • Two Copies of recent passport size photograph (colour photo with white background) for each of the executant(s) and recipient(s)
  • Photocopy of (Khatian/Porcha/Mutation Paper/Namjari)
  • Inheritance certificate (Warishnama); if the executant(s) are heirs to the property
  • Photocopy of the recipient's NID card

POA Service Process

  • Step 1: Appointment Booking: Please click here to book an appointment.
  • Step 2: Documents Submission: Executant(s) must submit the required documents at the counter on appointment time.
  • Step 3: Payment: The £40.00 non-refundable fee will be collected over the counter through bank card.
  • Step 4: Ready and Collection: Same day delivery

Other General Instructions

  • Physical presence of the executant(s) at the High Commission to sign in front of the consular officer.
  • After signing the documents, you need to make a photocopy of the entire document and submit the same at Counter-4 of the consular section.
  • The attested Power of Attorney documents must be counter attested by the MoFA, Dhaka within 2 months from the date of signing at the High Commission.
  • You must schedule appointments separately for every set of POA. For instance, you must schedule two appointments if you have two POAs for different sets of lands or assets.
  • Additionally, please schedule two appointments if the POA executant is more than five members.
  • Providing false information is a punishable offence.
