Transfer of NVR (From Old Passport to New Passport)

NVR never a urgent service

Bangladesh origin foreign nationals (except SAARC countries) are eligible to obtain NVR in their foreign passports to visit Bangladesh. Their spouse and children are also eligible for this endorsement, which allows the holder multiple entries into Bangladesh with unlimited duration of stay within the validity of the passport. Citizens other then the UK/EU must submit the proof of residence in the UK for the endorsement. However, the authority reserves the right to reject any application at any time without ascertaining any reason.

NVR by Post:

You may send your NVR application by post along with passport and all other required documents mentioned in documents requirements and a self address written prepaid envelope. In order to obtain NVR by post, you must pay the NVR fee by postal order or bank draft in favour of Bangladesh High Commission, London and allow at least 07 (seven) working days after receiving the post. If you are from Ireland, then please provide additional £10.00 postal order as a postal charges.

NVR FEE

£46 (Forty six pounds). 

You may pay the NVR fees at the counter of the consular section of Bangladesh High Commission by

  • Debit/Credit card or
  • Postal order (addressed to Bangladesh High Commission, London) or
  • Bank draft (addressed to Bangladesh High Commission, London)

Cash or personal check is not accepted. The NVR Fee is Non-refundable even if the visa is not issued.

  • a) Duly filled in online NVR application form;
  • b) Recent passport size colour photo- 1(one) copy;
  • c) New UK/EU Passport (valid at least for six months) with photocopy of photo page;
  • d) Old UK/EU Passport having NVR with photocopy of NVR and photo page;
  • e) Deed poll counter signed by FCO in case of name change in any document from the previous one including photocopy.

Processing

Standard time to process a NVR application, Bangladesh High Commission London requires at least four (04) working days.

STEP-1: ONLINE APPLICATION SUBMISSION

All the applicants who wants to apply for No visa required (NVR), at first they are requested to fill in the online application form (Manually filled visa application is not acceptable) for Machine Readable Visa (MRV). Please read the guideline to fill in the NVR application form carefully before you start your application.

Bangladesh High Commission, London strongly advise you to ensure the followings at the time of fill in online application for NVR:

  • Passport details
  • Address & phone number in Bangladesh,
  • Email address.

After completing all the steps of online NVR application form, please check all your information carefully before submit the application online. After submitting the online application, you will get a pdf file of your application for download.

Please download that pdf file and print it out which you will be required at the time of submitting application at the consular wing of Bangladesh High Commission London.

Please note:

  • Do not use MAC pc to fill in the form.
  • The online Bangladesh government visa application form may not be available in all browsers. If you are unable to access the online visa form, we recommend that you try another browser such as Google Chrome or Internet Explorer.
  • You may also face problem in logging-on the website if you are using an earlier version than 9.0 of Internet Explorer (Windows) or an earlier version than 3.5 of Mozilla Firefox.

STEP-2: APPOINTMENT BOOKING FOR SUBMISSION

You need a prior appointment in order to submit your visa application at the consular wing of Bangladesh High Commission, London.

STEP-3: DOCUMENTS PREPARATION & PAYMENT FOR APPLICATION

After your step 1 & 2 complete, Please arrange all the required supporting documents for visa application as mentioned in your visa category.

Before coming to the Bangladesh High Commission, London, you are requested to ensure the followings:

  • Printed copy of the online application form.
  • Signature of applicant in application form within the signature marked area.
  • Printed copy of the appointment confirmation letter.
  • Original passport for at least 06 months validity with minimum two blank pages.
  • One (01) recent passport size photographs with white background.
  • All the supporting documents as mentioned in your respective visa category.

STEP-4: AFTER SUBMISSION COLLECTION

Collection

Please collect your passport from the Counter-3, Consular Wing, Bangladesh High Commission London on mentioned date in your payment slip.

Delivery time for visa : 4:00pm to 5:00pm (Monday - Friday), except Holiday list 2018

Please note that the validity of the NVR begins from the date of issue by the High Commission of Bangladesh which allows the holder multiple entries into Bangladesh with unlimited duration of stay within the validity of the passport.

Important Notice:

Once the Bangladesh visa has been granted, then a printed copy of NVR sticker will be attached on an entire page in your passport. Please check the details carefully for any spelling mistakes and or validity etc. as marked below:

  • Your Surname (Last Name) as stated in your Passport.
  • Your Name (Given Name) including Middle Name, if any, as given in the Passport.
  • Passport Number as in Passport.
  • Correct Photographs.
  • Visa Type: i.e. T = Tourist, B = Business, X = Entry.
  • Number of Entries: Multiple, Double, or Single.
  • Date of Issue.
  • Date of Expiration.
