URGENT NOTICE ON BHC LONDON CONSULAR SERVICES UNDER THE LATEST COVID-19 SITUATION IN THE UNITED KINGDOM

In response to the latest uprise of a new variant of the Covid-19 and the consequent Tier-4 Rules imposed by the Government of the United Kingdom and in consideration of the health, safety and well-being of the valued consular service applicants, Bangladesh High Commission London would be implementing, with immediate effect, the following interim measures in rendering consular services up until 11 January 2021.
A. All consular service seekers are encouraged to continue to use the recorded delivery POSTAL SERVICE for MRP re-issue, VISA, NVR, Birth Registration and general Attestation of documents attested by FCO and similar services. For postal services, they are encouraged to fill up online forms for MRP re-issue, NVR and VISA and mail us the complete, printed copy of the application with necessary documents.
B. Services which require the applicants' physical presence such as NEW MRP enrollment, Power of Attorney, Signature Attestation etc. will be postponed until 11 January 2021.
C. In cases of extreme emergency only, Bangladesh High Commission will be rendering services like MRP re-issue, VISA and NVR (based on prior email/mobile/telephonic communication and proof of the emergency e.g. medical certificate, air-ticket etc.).
D. For welfare matters such as property disputes, family disputes, citizenship renunciation application and different complaints to the governmental authorities in Bangladesh, the applicants are advised to send in postal applications only (along with supporting documents) addressed to H E the High Commissioner. All appointments are postponed until 11 January 2021.

TRAVEL TO BANGLADESH:
* Please note that according to the latest instructions of the Government of Bangladesh, all are required to carry a Covid-19 negative test report to enter Bangladesh. This is a mandatory requirement until further order.
* * Please be advised that due to the Covid-19 pandemic, ON-ARRIVAL VISA is not being issued at any airport/land port/sea port in Bangladesh (except for Business/Investment categories). Hence, passengers intending to travel to Bangladesh for any other purposes such as tourism/family/personal visit/official duty and other purposes are required to obtain prior visa/NVR from concerned Bangladesh missions abroad.
