1. Legalization of commercial Documents and Power of Attorney.
The commercial wing of the Mission legalizes commercial documents such as Memorandum and Articles of Association, Company Registration Certificate, MLR certificate, laboratory test report for commercial import, opening a bank account , power of attorney for commercial dealings/transaction etc. These papers are first authenticated by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office of UK and then need to be submitted to the commercial wing.
Commercial Wing also provides wage earners certificates that are required for commercial purposes subject to submission of pay slips from the designated authority in the country of residence.
Fees for legalization/power of attorney/wage earner certificate is £12.00 per document which are payable only by pay order. For power of attorney the passport size photos and photocopies of passports of the persons giving and receiving the power attorney have to be submitted. All the documents first have to be legalized by Foreign And Commonwealth Office and then will be legalized by the Commercial Wing of the High Commission.
2. International Tender Notices
The High Commission regularly circulates international tender notices on behalf of the relevant Ministry or departments of the Government of Bangladesh.
3. CIP (Commercially Important Persons) Awards for NRBs
Ministry of Overseas Employment and Expatriate Welfare of the Government of Bangladesh honors the Non-Resident Bangladeshis (NRBs) with CIP (Commercially Important Persons) awards who contribute to our economy by sending foreign currencies. The CIPs are entitled to enjoy different state privileges for one year including permission to enter Bangladesh Secretariat, priority in reserving seats in Biman, trains, buses and other modes of transports for business travels in Bangladesh , facility at government hospitals and invitation to different national programmes organized by Bangladesh Missions abroad.
The following three categories of CIP awards are granted:
Interested NRBs submit their applications to the respective Embassies/High Commission of Bangladesh which are then forwarded to the Ministry for final selection.

The Government of Bangladesh invites applications to select the Commercially Important Persons (CIP) from the Non Resident Bangladeshis for the year 2018 in three categories: a. Investment b. Remittance c. Import.
Non-resident Bangladeshis residing in the United Kingdom and Ireland are encouraged to send their filled-in application forms along with the necessary documents to the Commercial Counsellor, Bangladesh High Commission,28 Queen’s Gate , London SW7 5JA United Kingdom no later than 30 September, 2017, or submit online at: www.probashi.gov.bd
4. Distribution of Public Shares to the NRBs
