London, 12 December 2025 — It is a proud and historic moment for Bangladesh as Officer Cadet Sakib Ahsan Rifat of the Bangladesh Army has been awarded both the International Sword of Honour and the International Award at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst (RMAS), United Kingdom. The distinguished honours were conferred by Her Royal Highness Princess Anne during the passing-out ceremony held today in London.
This extraordinary achievement marks the first time in Bangladesh’s history that an officer cadet has received these prestigious international distinctions. Selected from among nearly 200 cadets representing 40 nations, Officer Cadet Rifat’s exceptional performance stands as a testament to his exemplary dedication and discipline.

বাংলাদেশ সেনাবাহিনীর অফিসার ক্যাডেট সাকিব আহসান রিফাত যুক্তরাজ্যের রয়্যাল মিলিটারি অ্যাকাডেমি স্যান্ডহার্স্ট (আরএমএএস) থেকে ইন্টারন্যাশনাল সোর্ড অব অনার এবং ইন্টারন্যাশনাল অ্যাওয়ার্ড—এই দুটি মর্যাদাপূর্ণ আন্তর্জাতিক সম্মান অর্জন করেছেন। ১২ ডিসেম্বর ২০২৫ লন্ডনে অনুষ্ঠিত পাসিং-আউট অনুষ্ঠানে এই সম্মাননা প্রদান করেন Her Royal Highness Princess Anne।
