President Md. Abdul Hamid is going to Tungipara today to pay tribute to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. The President would offer Fateha at the grave of the founder of Independent Bangladesh.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has inaugurated the distribution programme of family silos for 63 upazilas in 19 disaster-prone districts in the country with a view to preserving food grains and seeds during any disaster. The PM launched the programme through a videoconferencing from her official residence Ganabhaban in Dhaka yesterday.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has said, Bangladesh has been continuing its efforts to resolve the Rohingya issue through dialogue trying to avoid any conflict. Myanmar should take lessons from Bangladesh on running a country keeping communal harmony unharmed, she added. The Premier said this while addressing a views-exchange meeting with Buddhist religious leaders and distinguished persons of the community on the occasion of the Buddha Prurnima at her official residence Ganobhaban yesterday.

The two-day 45th OIC Council of Foreign Ministers concluded in Dhaka yesterday adopting a resolution to form an ad-hoc ministerial committee to mobilize international support to ensure justice for atrocities on Rohingyas and their safe return to Myanmar.
