The nation is observing the historic March 7 today in a befitting manner commemorating the landmark speech by Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman which is considered as declaration of the country’s independence in 1971. On the occasion, the Prime Minister paid rich tributes to Bangabandhu by placing wreaths at the portrait of the great leader in front of Bangabandhu Memorial Museum at Dhanmondi this morning. The Prime Minister is expected to attend a discussion marking the day at the Bangabandhu International Conference Centre this afternoon.

Insurance Corporations Bill, 2019 has been placed in the Jatiya Sangsad aiming to bring transparency and good governance in the management of the insurance corporations. Finance Minister A H M Mustafa Kamal placed the bill in the House yesterday.
