The cabinet has approved the draft of 'The Fertilizer (Management) (Amendment) Bill, 2018' making the punishment tougher by raising jail term and fine. The approval was given at cabinet meeting held at Bangladesh Secretariat with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in the chair yesterday. The PM directed the authorities concerned to make arrangement of alternative driver, restroom and service center in a specific distance on the highways to avert unwanted road accidents.
Chief of Indian Naval Staff Admiral Sunil Lanba made a courtesy call on President Md. Abdul Hamid at Bangabhaban yesterday. Welcoming the Indian Navy Chief at Bangabhaban the President said, bilateral relations between Bangladesh and India is excellent now and it is strengthening gradually.
