President Md. Abdul Hamid reaches Geneva this morning to attend the Global Leaders Investment Summit and the 20th Annual Session of the Homeland and Global Security Forum. The President left Dhaka for Geneva yesterday.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has categorically said the polls must be held in Bangladesh on time, brushing aside confusions about the next general elections. The Prime Minister said this at a press conference arranged to brief the media about her just-concluded Saudi Arabia visit yesterday. Her recent visit to Saudi Arabia would play an important role in protecting Bangladesh’s economic interest with the Kingdom beyond the traditional labour sector, the Premier added.
